The Apprentice's Harry Clough Visits HDO: Matcha, Focus, and ADHD Success

Have you ever felt like your brain has about fifty browser tabs open at once, and three of them are playing music you can’t find? If you struggle with focus, productivity, or just that general feeling of being "scattered," you are definitely not alone. Here at Health Defence Organics CIC, we see so many members of our Hammersmith community looking for natural ways to sharpen their minds without the dreaded coffee jitters.

That’s why I am absolutely thrilled to share some massive news with you. On Wednesday, March 11th at 4 PM, we are welcoming a very special guest to our shop at 132a King Street: Harry Clough from the 2026 series of BBC’s The Apprentice.

Harry isn’t just coming for a chat; he’s bringing a solution he spent years perfecting. We’ll be hosting an exclusive tasting session for his brand-new creation: "Harry Can't Sit Still" FOCUS - Matcha SuperBlend.

Who is Harry Clough?

You might recognise Harry as the sharp, fast-talking Financial Sales Manager from Battersea who braved Lord Sugar’s boardroom. While he’s known for his business acumen and his "Makemyday" subscription box concept, there’s a more personal story behind his latest venture into the world of wellness.

Harry was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), a condition that can make high-pressure environments, like, say, a televised business competition, incredibly challenging to navigate. Instead of letting it hold him back, Harry sought out ways to harness his "busy brain." He needed a way to stay calm, focused, and mentally agile without relying on excessive stimulants that often lead to a "crash" later in the day.

The Story Behind "Harry Can't Sit Still"

The name says it all, doesn’t it? For many people with ADHD, or even those of us just living in a hyper-connected, distracting world, "sitting still" is a physical and mental impossibility.

Harry developed the FOCUS Matcha SuperBlend out of necessity. He needed a tool to help him survive and thrive in the intense environment of The Apprentice — the early starts, the pressure, the endless decisions, and the constant need to perform. He wanted something that provided the "clean" energy of matcha but was bolstered by functional mushrooms and essential minerals.

The result is a delicious, vanilla-flavoured blend designed specifically for clarity and calmness. It’s not just about "energy"; it’s about controlled energy.

To put it in Harry’s boardroom terms, it’s a simple, practical product promise: A 5-in-1 matcha superblend powder created to give you all-day focus without the crash. Made for those who want more focus in their daily routine and want to optimise their productivity - Increased focus / Zero Crash / Optimise Hydration.

What’s Inside the Blend?

At Health Defence Organics, we are very picky about what goes on our shelves. We love this product because it aligns perfectly with our mission to provide high-quality, functional nutrition. Here’s a breakdown of why this sachet packs such a punch:

1. Premium Matcha Green Tea

Matcha is the heart of this blend. Unlike regular green tea where you steep the leaves and throw them away, matcha involves whisking the whole ground leaf into the water. This means you get 100% of the nutrients. Research suggests that matcha provides a more sustained release of caffeine compared to coffee, avoiding the spikes and dips in blood sugar and energy.

2. Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

If you’ve been following our blog posts, you’ll know we are big fans of medicinal mushrooms. Lion’s Mane is often called "The Smart Mushroom." It contains compounds called hericenones and erinacines that studies indicate may stimulate the growth of brain cells and support cognitive function. It’s a staple for anyone looking to support their long-term brain health.

3. L-Theanine

This is an amino acid found naturally in tea leaves. When paired with caffeine (as it is in matcha), it creates a synergistic effect. While caffeine alerts the brain, L-Theanine promotes relaxation without drowsiness. It’s the secret behind that "monk-like" focus that matcha drinkers often describe.

4. Magnesium and Electrolytes

A foggy brain is often a dehydrated or mineral-deficient brain. Magnesium is essential for over 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including those that regulate neurotransmitters. By adding electrolytes, Harry has ensured that the body stays hydrated at a cellular level, which is vital for maintaining concentration throughout a long afternoon.

Focus, ADHD, and the Natural Approach

Managing ADHD is a journey that looks different for everyone. For some, it involves traditional medicine; for others, it’s about lifestyle tweaks, diet, and supplementation.

The "Harry Can't Sit Still" blend isn't a "cure," but it is a powerful tool in the toolkit. By focusing on neuroprotection and calm alertness, it helps bridge the gap between feeling overwhelmed and feeling in control. Whether you have a formal diagnosis or you're just a "procrastinator" who needs a nudge to get through your to-do list, the ingredients in this blend are backed by science to support your cognitive efforts.

We often talk about "brain food" in our health talks, and this blend is a prime example of how specific nutrients can target the nervous system to improve our daily quality of life.

Why We Support Harry’s Mission

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), Health Defence Organics is dedicated to more than just selling products. We are here to support the health and well-being of the Hammersmith and Fulham community. We believe in empowering people with the knowledge and the natural tools they need to live their best lives.

Harry’s story is one of resilience. Taking a diagnosis like ADHD and turning it into a business that helps others is exactly the kind of entrepreneurial spirit we love to see. It’s about "defending" your health, in this case, your mental health, using the best that nature has to offer.

If you can't make it to the event, don't worry! You can always browse our all products category or check out our range of teas and supplements online. We aim to keep the FOCUS blend stocked as part of our permanent collection for those who need that extra mental edge.

Join Us for a Sip of Success
